This shu pu-erh presents a calm, rounded, and deeply comforting character. The liquor is smooth and full-bodied, with a soft sweetness reminiscent of warm wood, dried fruits, and gentle earthiness. Compared to many young shu pu-erh teas, the fermentation aroma is notably restrained: the typical pile-fermentation notes are subtle, with very little fishiness and minimal bitterness even when brewed slightly longer. The texture is thick and cohesive, making it both approachable and deeply satisfying.

This tea was originally produced in 2015 as a raw pu-erh from small-leaf tea trees grown in the Jingmai Mountain area of Yunnan, harvested at around 1800 meters. Jingmai Mountain is recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, celebrated for its ancient tea forests and the unique coexistence of tea cultivation and indigenous village life. After years of high-mountain natural storage, the tea was carefully re-fermented in 2025, transforming it into a ripe pu-erh while preserving clarity, balance, and depth.
The production follows traditional Yunnan minority tea-making practices, where tea is crafted by hand within family systems and guided by experience rather than industrial control. Time, climate, and human intuition together shape the final character of this tea.
